Good lookin bike. There were quite a few "parts" bikes built in 2004. I have one I bought brand new. Looks identical to yours except it's all red, and my front fairing is different. Same black front end , clipons, gray valve covers, and blue knob on rear shock. I'll try to get some pics up for you.

Looks like a fluke in the VIN or what Power said.

 

It's not a Nero Corsa for certain. I think those had Ohlins. Looks like yours could of started out as a Lemans or Ballabio. More Ballabio than anything. Could be an 04 Bitsa from the factory. Triumph was once notorious for that. I had an 06 Speedfour that the VIN said was a tt600 . Basically a final year bike built from the parts bin (one bike I wish I still had).

No surprise that Moto Guzzi would have built numerous "specials" in the final year of the V11 series. All the more rare!

true docc... but the lemans decal is just not right, whats on the side covers? and was there ever a model with grey pork chops and tappet covers?

ok... so heres what it is... pound to a knob a goat shit it has had the frame mounted fairing removed and the after market bikini put on.

frame mount marks must be visable and the bikini is unlikely to have the MG tag on it
