Guzzirider Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 We are on a road trip in Europe and the tail light on Helen's V11 Sport is hanging loose because the two screws that fasten the tail light unit to the rear mudguard have disappeared. Does anyone know what size they are please?
Steve S Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 6mm I think, but how have they been lost there's a plastic cover that would trap them, if you are stuck and want the dimensions I can take mine apart
rossi46 Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Not much help, part not listed on stein web site, but the captive nut it screws into is a m6 ,I'm in garda(with car) heading to Basel Tuesday if i can be of any help 1
Guzzirider Posted August 23, 2014 Author Posted August 23, 2014 Thanks guys! I was comparing Helen's bike to my friend's Tenni which has two button head bolts holding in the tail light but I have now sussed this is non-standard. Upon further inspection llooks like M6 stud has broken hence why it is loose. Time to dig out the duct tape! Thanks again Guy
PhilPassmore Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 If you are in the Nottinghamshire area, I am more than happy to help with a cludge/repair. Have loads of nuts/bolts/screws/studs to hand, plus tools to make up specials. Phil
