Mostly forgotten, but an incredible Blues guy: John Lee Hooker...

The Healer featuring Carlos Santana at the six strings.

These guys could have probably made something of themselves if they had stuck with it.

Indeed. For a completey unknown band, they had a couple of surprisingly quick successes.

Guitar fest yesterday, Ava Mendoza was quite a guitar player, kinda Jazz fusion, free form.

She knows her chords.. not really my kind of music. She jammed with Jamaaladeen Tacuba.. they were hot.

Tony Futado was outstanding. He did a little cello banjo playing

I am prepared to bet that not many of you ever knew that band: Propaganda?

80's music, but they released an incredible album(at that time). "A secret wish" that I encourage you to listen, if that kind of music is your particular flavor.

Maybe @audiomick? were you there already? https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Propaganda_(Band) Claudia Brücken made my heart go "boom boom"...

No, I came here in January 1996. Still, I reckon I have heard of them.

Not exactly my kind of music, though. Not enough guitars. :huh2: B)

Liked "Murdered by Love" from the first time I heard it years back on an FM blues show. Looked for the original by the Blue Monday band. Found this version with Roguie Ray and some smoking geetar. No CDs available, so I bought VINYL.

So, that's what they call a harmonica north of Tennessee? My pickin' buddy from south of Tennessee called his mouth harps "Mississippi Saxophone" . . .
