I know that YT is full of these talented kids, one better than the next.

I relate to that, because I tried to teach guitar to my son when he was 5 years old, and I could never get him interested, even if he did pretty well, as I was trying to get him to like it.

I was in awe watching the little guy playing the drums in that humpteenth cover of the Deep Purple highway star...

Yes, he is very good. And not just bashing away, he is focussed on the bass player, and she is doing a pretty flash job of it too, I reckon. What say you @docc

The little dude is tireless and shows some real soul in his playing. Best for all of them that he keeps his time locked with the bass. I've played with some drummers that wouldn't lock-on. After a while, everyone just packs up and goes home. 

In all honesty, though, our bass player is just not that cute.

No, I couldn't work out which one it was. Changing the t-shirt fooled me completely.

I will refrain from comparisons to Jon Lord, because that would be silly.

I had the great fortune to encounter him on a couple of jobs. Polite, friendly, a real gentleman. Musically: the second time was one of those "rock meets classic" things. The orchestra was a combination of a semi-professional orchestra and students from a commercial "music academy". The finale was a Deep Purple melody, of course. They rehearsed it once without the man, and it was all correct. Then he came on stage. First thing was, the organ sounded different (better) when he played it than when the organ-hire bloke played it after he set it up. How does that work? A Hammond organ is a machine. You push a button, and a noise comes out.

And on top of that, the rehearsal without was, as I said, correct. With him playing along, all of a sudden it also grooved. One man pulled an entire orchestra into the groove. Not bad, I reckon...

So it would be silly to draw comparisons between a teenage girl and someone like that. The same applies to the guitarist that played the solos. She has potential, but needs a few years. Ritchie Blackmore was an experienced and creative guitarist when that song was produced. No comparison, so no comment.

They slayed it ! The original was 6mins 7 seconds and theirs was 6mins 15 seconds. Machine Head was a perfect LP. i bought the 8-track .  I hope everyone is that old ?

 Hush was the first song I heard from them fully equipped w/the wolf howl at the intro. Then I will never understand how they took a polite song from Neil Diamond and ELECTRIFIED it w/100,000 v ! KENTUCKY WOMAN .

 Back to this group , it is incredible to see kids that age play with all their heart and play every note as though it is their last time on the planet Earth .

I had to go back and watch twice after realizing towards the end that the lead guitar had completely lost the camera and fell into herself. That was about 2:30 around the organ solo. She started out 'acting' for the video, and while comptent she really lit it up in the second half.

They seem to specialize in hard acts to follow- the drummer is even more impressive here, I think- Mom and Dad are in. Their ABBA cover is pretty amazing too, absent male voices.
