Brian Setzer is one of those special musicians. He is incredibly talented.

writing of Setzer, I don't own any Stray Cats but I do have his Boogie Woogie Christmas Record.  It's quite good.  Big band, rockabilly.   Anne Margaret and Lou Rawls are on it too.  I have a family Christmas eve party and play some stuff by tradition.   This is just fun to listen to at any time.

the Stray Cats reference reminds me of this french Band, not the same thing actually, but there are similarities. B)

 

The band played at a pub in Melbourne where I worked as the house technician for a couple of years in the '80s. It was a really good evening. Heaps of fun.

I saw these Cats live in my hometown not long after they’d busted onto the scene... Fun times!

Brian Setzer and I used to go to the same little one man Barber shop for years when I lived down in Santa Monica ..We chatted a lot as we were getting our cuts..very nice dude with a great sense of humor.
