milar Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 My Scura came with a Power Commander 2 with a Fast By Ferraci label on it. The bike is stock except for FBF carbon cans. I assume FBF must have sold some sort of tuning kit many years ago. The bike is very cold blooded at start up, but runs so rich when warm riders behind me can smell gas. Sooo, I'm open to suggestions about how to proceed and improve my fueling. Thoughts? Mike
docc Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Simply unplug the PC and jack back directly to the ECU. (Apparently, we should wait some period of time after the key has been on to unplug the ECU?) Try the bike without the PC. Step 2: perform a complete tune-up starting with having the CO set, fresh spark plugs, and adjusting the valves then finishing with TPS setting, throttle body balance.
redrider Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Guzzidiag, a cable from Lonetec(sp?), and the Euro map. I'm using the Guzzi Titanium map.Grunty, smooth and strong all the way to redline. Stucchi crossover and MIVV cans. Balance the TB's, set the TPS. Mine likes the Idle Fuel Trim set at +20. Set valves to the World specs. A couple of hours work. No stink.
milar Posted April 7, 2015 Author Posted April 7, 2015 Thanks for the thoughts everyone. Good tips. Mike
