Are there many single-bike project threads? I find it really interesting and useful to see the order that people go through a bike - especially when one is working on a multiple owner bike that has been modified or in need of quite a bit of work. While the project is in process, it creates (at least for me) some suspense - I can't wait to see how Craig's bike turns out with the Laverda fairing.

As a resource, it seems that this type of thread would be useful to new owners who need to go through their new-to-them bikes. I know that Chamberlin's thread will be super-useful to me as I go through the 2003 LeMans, and maybe I'll start a thread for that bike when I get started.

Here are the single-bike threads that I know about:

Chamberlin's Modified Restoration:

Lemans' restoration of a LeMans 1000:

Craig's fairing project looks like it might turn into a total bike transformation - the Azzuro Corsa:

My Scura:

Are there more single-bike project threads? If you know of some, please post the links here.

If there are more of them - or if we want more people to do them - would it be worth grouping this type of thread in a sub-category under "Moto Guzzi V11 LeMans: the ride starts here"?

If I only had one thread for my Sport it would be 5,000 posts plus replies . . .

. . . but I like the Project Bike threads, especially now that these V11 have reached that "status."

I was under my tank for quite a bit today and the harness design on these things is atrocious.  I must have a total of at least three extra feet of harness under that tank.  I am starting to think I may go full monty and just completely redo the bike including completely new electrics.. I want to try one of those motogadget m-units.

I thought I saw a full-bike makeover in the works over there.

Bonus points for using "full monty" and "three extra feet" in the same post.

Can-bus?... No idea how that works.

The m-unit supports Can-bus for future upgrades but I can't see the point for a simple roadster.  Maybe for something like the K1600GTL with more electronics than an Apollo command module...

Reference to Apollo perhaps belies our vintage! :oldgit::P

I just noticed that SP838 posted a lot of before, during, and after pictures of his project in a gallery album, so there's another single-bike project:

It's cool to watch it as a slideshow:
