It�s a come as you are, not-a-rally, campout. Just show up and camp. Canton Lake is 100 miles NW of Okla City, 150 miles west of Tulsa, and 165 miles SW of Wichita. The lake has been replenished with the rain, the water is blue and beaches are sandy. September should have cooler air, sunny skies and warm water. The campsites are first rate with grass and shade, paved pad, grills and close to showers. The lake is 1 - 1 � hour ride from Roman Nose St Park, Gloss Mountains St Park, Alabaster Caverns St Park, Little Sahara St Park, and Salt Plains National Wildlife Refuge. This is western Okla, so no promises for challenging roads (but Thunder Road around the lake has a couple of miles of twists).
