So next weekend I'm gonna hit up the "Slimey Crud Run" near Madison WI. Never gone before don't know a lot about it but it sounds like good folks. If anyone is around I'll be at the starting point in the morning. Details here

Sounds like fun - and the exact opposite of the highly-structured Distinguished Gentleman's Ride. I'm not used to a late start with a big group and a whole bunch of straight lines. However... it will be cool to roll through parts of LA with 400+ other specialty bikes. Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood Boulevard (Walk of Stars), LaBrea Tar Pits (a nod to my '02 engine paint), etc. 

 

"Show up and plan your own route" sounds like my kind of mayhem. Enjoy it.

I'm not a fan of big riding groups either. I gotta say though, 400 eclectic motorcyclists burbling along through a metro area is probably a sight to behold!
