Pronto2
Hello Gear lever spring problem handled...not any bigger task, when the tools are -should have been! - good. But the fact is that the gearbox has a nasty whistling sound...perhaps it starts with fourth gear. Does this mean that the bearing needs to be replaced? Do you have any experience of that "formula gearbox" repair of bearings of V11 year 2001? Does it need special tools beyond "normal" toolbox? Anyway some dismantling of lots of parts... And then the last ride in Finland - abt 100kms in abt 5 degrees- ended up in a real oil shower allover the motor and gearbox...okay, lady is resting now in peace in garage...but perhaps the summer will still come...after min a half year from now...some stuck breather problem ??? JBBenson
I have had some harmonic high whine from the transmission at certain speeds in 5th or 6th. More whine than whistle. Not sure if we mean the same thing. That may be an issue of translation. But mine is intermittent. Does your do it all the time?
