I pulled the bodywork last night to run the wiring. Good chance to see what it looks under there. A full tank of fuel is heavy!

Air filter looked new.

Not sure how old the fuel filter is.

Replaced the license plate light with an LED. Funny that I had just the right bulb. Put it in backwards the first time and blew #6 fuse. You can tell there weren't an German engineers working at Guzzi by how many things I had to take off just to get to this bulb! And every nut and screw was a different size!

I still don't know where to pull auxiliary power from but the wires are back to the trunk now.

Alrighty then... time for deep cleaning.

I always siphon the gas out of the tank to make it easier to handle. Fuel filter is probably the original. I just replace mine with WIX 33310 - only $11 at auto parts store.

How many tools does it take to change a light bulb?

Four.

Two to get off the inner fender. One to get the light off and a screwdriver to get the lens off. While you don't have to remove the light it makes it a lot easier.

Bike is already all back together so no deep cleaning. It wasn't too dirty.

Side note: If you turn on the key before remembering to hook up the pressure regulator... it makes a puddle on the floor...

I had lunch with my buddy, Mike. He's got a lovely 2014 Thruxton (amongst other bikes...) It was a lovely ride into the countryside. Best to get those rides in because the farmlands are quickly disappearing.

Bit of a shocker today, we haven't had a day above 70˚ in 2017 (global warming!) and today it's going to be 80˚ F+. Not use to it!

How heinous does your riding have to be to get pulled over by a UPS truck? :o
