gstallons Posted March 30, 2023 Posted March 30, 2023 How fast that bike started ! I backed it up 5 Xs before I realized , the first cylinder that came up and it was running . Then how quick it revved . A religious experience . 1

audiomick Posted May 23, 2023 Posted May 23, 2023 That's one of these: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trabant_601 25 hp. on a good day, if it hasn't been fiddled. But they go forever.... 1
audiomick Posted July 2, 2023 Posted July 2, 2023 The one I had was white, and had a fair bit of rust by the time I bought it in about 1985. And it was "only" a 186S, unfortunately not the 327. It was still a fantastic car that I miss to this day. 1
guzzler Posted July 2, 2023 Posted July 2, 2023 My wife had one back in the day too... Holden Monaro. It was a 186 ( 6 cylinder ) as well. She loved it too and mentions the car every now and again! This was before we met but wouldn't mind pulling one outa the shed these days! Might be able to afford a few more bikes ha ha Cheers
audiomick Posted July 2, 2023 Posted July 2, 2023 A mate posted me a link to an auction a while back. HK Monaro 327 GTS. It went for about $ 375,000 . I used to have a brochure. Might still have it in a box in Australia somewhere. The new price in 1968 was around $3,800, if I recall correctly. 4
guzzler Posted July 2, 2023 Posted July 2, 2023 Might be able to afford the spoked wheels for the greenie if able to wheel that outa the shed and flog it...... 1
