Kane Posted July 8, 2022 Posted July 8, 2022 Lol. Yeah, I noticed that, too. Maybe because she’s not on the bike for that bit.

docc Posted July 9, 2022 Posted July 9, 2022 Gotta love that instant she looks down and declares, "OH! La benzina !! " (How many of us have been there?!? ) I just never pulled off a quick "mille lire " for a tank of gas without washing dishes for an hour or mucking out a horse stall . . . 2
sign216 Posted September 8, 2022 Author Posted September 8, 2022 "Gotta love that instant she looks down and declares, "OH! La benzina !! " " Wasn't that before Guzzis had a fuel gauge? They would merely start to sputter, so you'd know to turn the petcock to the reserve tank. So there was nothing for her to glance down at, and exclaim. I could be wrong..... 1
docc Posted September 8, 2022 Posted September 8, 2022 Haha, I think you are right! But doesn't it make for great theatre?
sign216 Posted September 8, 2022 Author Posted September 8, 2022 Yes, it does. It plays better to the audience. 1
docc Posted September 8, 2022 Posted September 8, 2022 As a willing audience, I would have whipped out my "mille lire " without even looking around! 2

I could be wrong..... She looks down at the trip meter and realizes it is near the bike's maximum range.

I have done that a b'zillion times and will never look that cute. I always just look stupid. Then, there is > no one < to pony up a mille lire for my plight . . . On the other hand, I once paid a guy a mille lire (five bucks) for a gallon of weedeater gas for my sputtering VFR to get to the next town. All he had to show me was the gascan . . .
sign216 Posted November 19, 2022 Author Posted November 19, 2022 Here's an old advertisement that I hadn't seen before. Was this from an old catalog? 2 1 1
docc Posted November 19, 2022 Posted November 19, 2022 Hard to believe those are only 750cc. They look more like 750cc each . . . 2 4
KINDOY2 Posted November 19, 2022 Posted November 19, 2022 Those will probably Morph from 90 degree Barrels to 60 Degree Barrels in a couple years 1 5
docc Posted March 6, 2023 Posted March 6, 2023 You know you're on Lago di Como when the dock fenders are old motorcycle tires . . . 5
