Considering some of the typical electrical issues encountered on Moto Guzzi, especially grounding (earthing), I got to wondering how these motorcycles found their way out of northern Italy.

By train to LeHavre, ship's hold across the oceans?  Containerized in Mandello del Lario through to their distant destinations? Donkey cart to Venezia, then gondola to offshore pirate vessels?

How much could overseas shipping figure into some corrosive irritability?

Pretty sure they ship via slow boat and they go around the Cape of No Hope.

It doesn't matter where they are going, they go around the Cape of No Hope.

Does your V11 have Corrosive Irritability Syndrome? Do you experience intermittent electrical gremlins, coughs or hiccups at 3,000 RPM, bubbling engine paint, failed gauges, sporadic oil or charge warning lights, or fading of exhaust canisters or other painted parts?

Then ask your Docc if your heart is healthy enough for V11LeMans.com.

Consult your Docc immediately if you experience any of the following:

  • Excessive rationalization or justification regarding above problems
  • Unjustifiable beliefs that the problem will take care of itself
  • Obsessive fixation on photographs of OPV (Other People's V11)
  • Hyperawareness of model-year differences
  • Uncontrollable urge to purchase additional V11
  • Uncertainty regarding tires or oil
