I had the fine fortune to help fettle a Rorso Corsa recently. While the rear-set foot shifter needed a good bit of attention, the starter had to come away for good access.

That led to a full session of disconnecting/cleaning/*Vaseline-ing* the (loose) battery terminal stacks, (loose) ECU ground, main gearbox case ground, and the (loose) starter positive cable.

My early Sport doesn't have this wire. What the what? :huh2:

Someone suffered from "Startus Interuptus" so added a second button direct from the battery.

There should be just a single spade connector there, take the wire off.

That makes perfect sense.

I thought it odd that the spade connection on the solenoid itself is duplex. That appears factory, but no?

No - I think someone has added a double adapter

Sent from my shoe phone!

they added some sort of aux. starter system.

My problem originated in the relay area.

thats why i carry a small screw driver so I can jump start it .

I took my relay receptacles out .

Still have a broken wire I can not find

Andy,

The most likely place for a broken wire is around the steering head where it is constantly bending back and forth, copper work hardens and becomes brittle.

To find a fault like that pull hard on each wire in turn, about 20 lb, if the copper is broken the insulation will stretch.
