Scud Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 ...and what does this mean? Did the V11 break down? Did somebody buy a Quota? Explain....

MartyNZ Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 ...ring a mate...need a loaner (well he has 7 Guzzi's)...I didn't know that there is 7 Guzzis in NZ, let alone with one guy in the South Island.
footgoose Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 damn. sorry to hear that. when ya get a moment, elaborate some on the spring, if you don't mind. How long did that one last? Did you replace the arm with the new size boss? I've replaced both on my two bikes. Am I riding around with a false sense of security? I do carry a spare new spring, but that's only so it won't happen.

MartyNZ Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 bloody ell... hey cant remember how the spring closest to the gear shift input sits? photos anyone? There are some good pics posted by BelfastGuzzi here http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=16872&st=0While you have the side plate off, why not look at Lucky Phil's improvements http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19547 This spring seems to have a short life. I see that you posted a question about this in 2014. http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=18737&hl=spring Can I have your old broken spring? I'm going to try to make a different spring arrangement that will last longer. Maybe a pair of lighter springs, or an extra turn on a spring made of similar wire, or use better material. Marty 1
