docc Posted May 17, 2017 Posted May 17, 2017 I'm ready to make a proper proposal on this whole "frame side plate" business . . . Stand by, and please: vote early and often! http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19946&p=220887
swooshdave Posted May 17, 2017 Author Posted May 17, 2017 Wow! I thought we harbored some spine frame obsessed here. I'm actually surprised there aren't more customized V11 Sports. But then I think about how perfect they got the bike out of the factory (except the f'n relays) and maybe it not worth customizing.
docc Posted March 30, 2018 Posted March 30, 2018 That is delicious! I was in love with the skeletonized reaction rod until I left her for the oil cooler!! edit: Video 3: OMG! 150 kilos! A 330 pound V11 ! My Sport is out of fuel at 500 pounds.
docc Posted March 31, 2018 Posted March 31, 2018 Evidently, "SLOW", in the Queen's English means *DOWNSHIFT!* Titanium V test ride: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ldx5TU9kuuY
czakky Posted March 31, 2018 Posted March 31, 2018 Not my cup of tea aesthetically, but that is some serious craftsmanship. Talented guy for sure. Guaranteed riot to ride too!
footgoose Posted March 31, 2018 Posted March 31, 2018 I watched the 4 video's I could find. He goes into detail about materials and construction method. He's a master craftsman. The bike is brilliant. I like it because his point was simple. Build a Titanium motorcycle. I'd like to see and hear more from him. Like why he chose a Guzzi.
guzzler Posted March 31, 2018 Posted March 31, 2018 Stiletto's has my vote Doc !! While you're bludgeoning the originator of the Pork chop with steamed asparagus and boiled potatoes, how about lobbing a few brussell sprouts in his general direction as well ? Cheers Guzzler 1
docc Posted March 31, 2018 Posted March 31, 2018 @footgoose ("Like why he chose a Guzzi."): See video #1 (first seven seconds): "The reason for using Moto Guzzi is: I've always, always, loved Moto Guzzi." (Paul Milbourn) @guzzler: Thanks for the solidarity on the *stilettos* ! The V11 (and 1100 Sport-i / Centauro) cast "frame side plates" are a work of art! Worthy of a proper descriptor . . . > "stilettos" are decidedly Italian . . . "porkchops?" . . . eh, not so much . . . .
Kostarika Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 Wonderful work and interesting price. We at least I know the candy store I will have to go. Once I win the lottery that I never play. http://www.thebikespecialists.com/moto-guzzi-v11-titanium-a-truly-one-off-custom-build-6188999
