coreytrevor Posted August 23, 2017 Author Posted August 23, 2017 That doesn't seem possible. Why didn't I think of Sertao?
docc Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 XR7-XR4Ti-V70-328i-XJ-JKU/S-E36/7 . . . No wonder I can't find my way around! 1
gstallons Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 Mercury , Merkur , Volvo , BMW . Jeep or Jaguar ( if I know you , it's the Jeep ) , another Jeep ? & IDK about the last vehicle . E36/7 ?
docc Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 Wow! Extra credit on that alpha-numeric translation. E36/7 is BMW's production designation for the Z3 based "roadster." Sadly, I can't find a single place name in my vehicle history, so had to resort to histrionics.
Scud Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 While splitting lanes to LAX today, I saw a Subaru Outback, Hyundai Santa Fe, Kia Sedona... lots of SUVs named for special places. But Ford names them for the journey, not the destination: Expedition, Explorer, Escape... Adding to my earlier post about adventure bike names, there is the Cagiva Gran Canyon (I'm assuming they left the "d" off Grand for style-points)
docc Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Does "Tourist Trophy" count as a place? Or is that an event?
docc Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 that your GB Docc? Nic's V7? Sweet 'event' Heh: yeah, they look "related" . . . Closest I can get to a "place name" in my vehicle history? Honda Pacific Coast.
footgoose Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 and GB is for Great Britain so.... a place and event in one name!
coreytrevor Posted August 29, 2017 Author Posted August 29, 2017 Closest I can get to a "place name" in my vehicle history? Honda Pacific Coast. AKA the world's biggest scooter!
docc Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Honda Pacific Coast PC800 Closest I can get to a "place name" in my vehicle history? Honda Pacific Coast. AKA the world's biggest scooter! Apparently, this is an qualified opinion . . .
coreytrevor Posted August 29, 2017 Author Posted August 29, 2017 Never owned one, but worked on and ridden quite a few. They always struck me as a giant scooter but with manual shifting. Good bike, just very appliance-like.
