jchayes Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 G'day gents. One quick question: ignition switch "on," bike ready to start, should the generator light be "on" or "off?" (Early '02 LeMans, stock wiring - new factory wiring harnesses, light does work, oil pressure and neutral lights are "on") Thanks
Chuck Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 Truth be known.. you never know. Naturally, it *should* be on, but conjunctions of the moon's orbit with Venus sometimes cause it not to be. I think. Pay no attention..
docc Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 Key on: battery light on, oil pressure light on. All the warning lights should come on except the low fuel light. Most likely causes: bad bulb or loose bulb socket, but it seems there is a regulator issue that defeats the light. Put a voltmeter to the battery and confirm charging voltage exceeds the static battery voltage.
