swooshdave Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 I've mentioned these bikes before but this is the first time I got to see them in person. I don't even know how rare the Ghezzi is but I can tell you I've never seen one in person, except for the one at Barber. I will say it's the first time I've seen a Coppa. The owner is attached to a very long air line and will never ride again. Next time you're sucking on that cigarette look at your bikes and ask yourself how long you'd like to keep riding. I don't know much about the Ghezzi like how many of this model they made but I I was told it's an 1100 Spoti engine. I think it's a V11. You will have the only one on the block if you have this in your garage. And by block I mean state. Or country. I believe the asking price is $15k. The Coppa is almost as rare, I was told that about 40 were brought into the states? And about 200 made? It needs a good cleaning but it's what you can expect from a low mileage bike. While cool the next Guzzi for me will be a Lemans (either the old one or the new one). For me the Coppa is a tarted up V11 Sport that isn't worth twice what a similar version goes for. But what do I know? I believe the asking price is $12k. Speaking of expensive this is what we were down there picking up. A non-running bike for an extraordinary amount of money. Luckily not my money. The good news is that when it's back on the road I should be able to take it for a spin. 1

footgoose Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 The GB doesn't do it for me, tho it's certainly rare. The Coppa is tarted up just the way all the V11 should be. I could see me coughing up 7500. at most. He might get 12 from a "collector". The Vincent is the sweetheart of that rodeo. And outa my league. Thanks for the pics! 1
swooshdave Posted September 4, 2017 Author Posted September 4, 2017 Didn't the last Coppa on eBay do $12k?
Chuck Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 Yeah, they are beginning to bring bigger bucks.
czakky Posted September 5, 2017 Posted September 5, 2017 The problem with the Furia is that eventually you have to get off of it and look at it..... Probably a fun ride though. I've seen an orange one before in person still not my cup of tea. 2
swooshdave Posted September 5, 2017 Author Posted September 5, 2017 You guys are mean. It's not that ugly. The tank is a little funny looking but sheesh, have you looked at some truly ugly bikes? I can't think of one Japanese bike that looks better that this thing.
Scud Posted September 5, 2017 Posted September 5, 2017 I'm sure the GB has improved performance over the original bike. Looks are subjective. IMO the GB is not better looking than an 1100 Sport or a V11 Sport. As for the Coppa Italia - I also don't get why the prices are so much higher than other similar models. It's the same bike as a Cafe Sport - with a paint job that obviously appeals to some people (but not me). On Japanese bikes, the new Red, White, and Blue Africa Twin is a fine-looking machine... so was the original Africa Twin. And that Aprilia Pegaso in the background of one of those photos is not too shabby looking either. Now the BMW R1200GS? That's a fugly motorcycle.
gstallons Posted September 5, 2017 Posted September 5, 2017 They all ( V11s ) have righteous paint schemes .

I was wondering if someone was going to spot the Aprilia. Currently at the top of my list of ugliest bikes ever: 1
docc Posted September 5, 2017 Posted September 5, 2017 Let's get this ugly-thing in perspective . . . 1
swooshdave Posted September 5, 2017 Author Posted September 5, 2017 Dang, I was eating when I saw that picture. No appetite now. I'd still (sadly) take that Bimota over the BMW. 1
czakky Posted September 5, 2017 Posted September 5, 2017 Those are, Docc and Dave are the ugliest modern bikes.
knumbnutz Posted September 6, 2017 Posted September 6, 2017 agree, theyre as ugly as a hat full of monkey butts.
