I've seen that sometime in the past. Lots of great tech information there that you probably wouldn't find anywhere else.

Seems the beloved Dave Richardson (author of Guzziology) really liked the V11 Sport. Some great information I have never read before on the changes to the heads and new pistons.   Referencing no less than Dr. John Wittner.

As with so many web articles, no date stamp, though.

apparently written in 2000 since he rode a 2000 V11 sport and does not mention the Lemans version at all.. plus he called it "new".

He calls it the "new V11 Sport". The forensic scientist in me says this dates it to somewhere around the turn of the century.

The archivist in me is curious if it was 1999. My Sport was built March 2000, purchased August 3 and was the second one in this state.  Not sure if any "1999" made it to the US or how early in '99 they were rolled out.

By the way, Dave Richardson retired just a few days ago.  He is in good spirits and seems genuinely happy to be starting his next chapter of life.  Moto Int. in Seattle continues to be a very active dealership focused on Moto Guzzi and Aprilia.
