gsp0702 Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 Found this via Twitter, and forgive the Google translate :-The novelty starts with the engine - which will see a potential (1000-1200 cc) capacity - that will have nothing to do with current Big Bore or Small Block and will adopt a mixed cooling system with the head part cooled to liquid while lower air cylinders should remain cool for the cylindersSo looks as the majority suspected a new air/water cooled V-Twin a la BMW approach, which will be shown in a concept of which the article had no details.(Original link :- https://www.gpone.com/it/2017/10/16/news-prodotto/moto-guzzi-ad-eicma-un-concept-rivoluzionario.html#.WeXKXlZHabo.facebook) Plus looks like last years V9 X-Track concept is a production bike for 2018.

brubache Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 If they only release v7 variants... I will be annoyed. We get it... scrambler... special... blah blah. Excite me! I want a future guzzi to dream about to add to the stable one day.
swooshdave Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 Youtube - don't go there The auto translate into English subtitles was... ahem... interesting. Based on those women alone I need to learn Italian. 1
luhbo Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 Looks promising, doesn't it? Maybe two OHCs? In the right direction? The pics will come now, I'm curious
Tom M Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 http://motori.ilmessaggero.it/speciale_eicma/moto_guzzi_v85_concept_enduro_stile_classico_vintage_rappresenta_futuro_aquile-3349933.html "MILAN - Moto Guzzi brings Eicma 2017 a bike that represents a turning point for the brand. This is a prototype, called V85 Concept, which embodies a new enduro concept of classic and vintage style. Call the bikes of the 1980s and is designed to travel by putting the wheels where the asphalt ends and the adventure begins. At the same time, however, he wants to be an ideal companion even in the daily life, preambulating it agile and versatile. With her debuting a 90 ° 90-turn, 90 ° twin-cylinder five-cylinder, air cooled, capable of delivering an 80 hp power and many torque at low speeds . It is a propulsion around which, according to Moto Guzzi, a new range of motorcycles will be built at Mandello del Lario. This is why the V85 Concept will not be a prototype end to itself, but the anticipation of a motorcycle that we will soon see on the road. It is likely to hypothesize that around this 80-hp engine will be able to develop motorcycles of different segments, all of which are always associated with the style that distinguishes the Moto Guzzi."
Chuck Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 twin-cylinder five-cylinder Probably translates to twin cylinder 5 valve. If so.. I hope they have finally gotten it right.
brubache Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 Surprise... more v7 variants. sigh. https://www.motorcycle-magazine.com/moto-guzzi-v7-iii-carbon-rough-milano/ v85 Adventure Bike and new engine. https://www.motorcycle-magazine.com/moto-guzzi-v85/
docc Posted November 7, 2017 Author Posted November 7, 2017 Oh, dear me. Look at that red frame . . . . https://www.asphaltandrubber.com/bikes/moto-guzzi-v85/
brubache Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 Interesting notices: Cant see any plug wires... edit: Now i see them. They have a fancy black cover on them and route around the front. Interesting. I didnt see the MG logo in the headlights at first. I like that! Judging by the shock mounted on the right side and not inboard it would seem that this bad boy may have a pretty large fuel tank. Cable actuated clutch Tank is very wide at its angled lower section. Is that an air intake on the side of the tank at the front? Interesting. Ohlins all around. Doesn't look like the rear is adaptive. Perhaps the front is. I see no adjustments on the top of the front forks. edit. I see cruise control button on the left and ride modes on the right. fun!
docc Posted November 7, 2017 Author Posted November 7, 2017 Waiting anxiously to see if its size dwarfs a svelte Italian EICMA model (like the Stelvio) . . .
swooshdave Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 twin-cylinder five-cylinderProbably translates to twin cylinder 5 valve. If so.. I hope they have finally gotten it right. Or 5 speed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
czakky Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 I guess if I HAD to ride an adventure bike. I like it for what it is. The engine is exciting though!
