Paul Minnaert Posted February 13, 2004 Posted February 13, 2004 Yesterday I got my rearwheel from Dynotec. The weight saving against the V11 wheels is 1.5 kg for front and 3kg for rear. So 4.5 kg less to move:-) Expensive kilo's :-) Now I'll design the brake adapter, and than that can be made next week.
gthyni Posted February 13, 2004 Posted February 13, 2004 Sweet, I want one too, but I think I asked dynotec and they answered I couldn't buy 1 wheel (rear only). I already have a nice front wheel.
Admin Jaap Posted February 13, 2004 Posted February 13, 2004 I just read in the "Aquile",( the World club Magazine) there were OZ wheels available for the V11 Coppa Italia ??? Nice wheels Paul, but loose the wave disk!
Paul Minnaert Posted February 13, 2004 Author Posted February 13, 2004 mgs_01 wheel? Took some time but I found the picture:
Admin Jaap Posted February 13, 2004 Posted February 13, 2004 From the Coppa Italia article in the magazine: Moreover, to contribute to a reduction of the total weight of the bike, Moto Guzzi supplies "forged OZ rims" derived directly from the MGS-01 Corsa experience on the circuits.
Paul Minnaert Posted February 13, 2004 Author Posted February 13, 2004 MGS-01 Corsa experience on the circuits what a marketing rubbish! Yes it did 20 rounds on a circuit:-)
Admin Jaap Posted February 14, 2004 Posted February 14, 2004 Yes it did 20 rounds on a circuit:-) Same thing what I thought. BTW, the whole magazine is full of marketing crap. Sort of a lifestyle magazine... My guess is that for the next issue they just use the same (really bad english) texts again. But the pictures are nice
Admin Jaap Posted February 15, 2004 Posted February 15, 2004 Paul, your bike is getting better and better by the day! When you come to the V11 Meeting in September, please take the Daytona. If you don't, there will be a lot of disappointed faces! Same goes for Zebulon and his G&B!
Paul Minnaert Posted February 15, 2004 Author Posted February 15, 2004 Well Jaap, I hope I get rid of the scura long before that, so that leaves me with one bike.
gthyni Posted February 16, 2004 Posted February 16, 2004 OK now for some OT: Paul, you have raised the back of the Daytona. On a V11 - I think - it can't be raised very much since the shaft drive will hit the swing arm(?). Have you seen any solution to get around this?
zebulon Posted February 16, 2004 Posted February 16, 2004 beautifull like this paul a little shot of the other side with the wave disk ?
zebulon Posted February 16, 2004 Posted February 16, 2004 Same goes for Zebulon and his G&B! No way, i 'll come with the daytona
Paul Minnaert Posted February 16, 2004 Author Posted February 16, 2004 Ok an other one from left side. Did I tell that I have the ohlins trio complete? steeringdamper and reardamper too. The steeringdamper will be invisible on pictures, and rear has to come in.
zebulon Posted February 17, 2004 Posted February 17, 2004 BTW, the whole magazine is full of marketing crap. Sort of a lifestyle magazine... My guess is that for the next issue they just use the same (really bad english) texts again. But the pictures are nice When i said marketting , someone didn't want to trust me ,that's it
