dereklaw Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 Hi. I have recently purchased a 2003 V11 Le Mans with the purpose of customizing with my son during the winter months. One of the big things that I want to change is the fuel tank. I am looking at loosing some volume to make the cylinders stand out more and giving it a different look. Has any one successfully fitted a tank from a different bike whether that be another Moto Guzzi or other make. If not can anyone recommend a manufacturer who could make one from? Many thanks
Tom M Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 The only tank that I can think of that might fit and accept the fuel pressure regulator is one from a fuel injected Moto Guzzi Sport 1100 from around 1996
fotoguzzi Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 if you get a tank with two fuel taps you can use one for the return.. or weld on a bung to get the flow back to tank.
Lucky Phil Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 You could use an 1100 Sport tank and run the earlier V11 external pump, filter and regulator. Ciao
docc Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 An external (in line ) regulator could be used to broaden fitment choices . . .
