Hi. I have recently purchased a 2003 V11 Le Mans with the purpose of customizing with my son during the winter months. One of the big things that I want to change is the fuel tank. I am looking at loosing some volume to make the cylinders stand out more and giving it a different look.

Has any one successfully fitted a tank from a different bike whether that be another Moto Guzzi or other make. If not can anyone recommend a manufacturer who could make one from?

Many thanks

The only tank that I can think of that might fit and accept the fuel pressure regulator is one from a fuel injected Moto Guzzi Sport 1100 from around 1996 :huh2:

if you get a tank with two fuel taps you can use one for the return.. or weld on a bung to get the flow back to tank.

You could use an 1100 Sport tank and run the earlier V11 external pump, filter and regulator.

An external (in line ) regulator could be used to broaden fitment choices . . .
