not-fishing Posted June 21, 2018 Posted June 21, 2018 I've been thinking about how much better my Griso 1100 runs than my V11. I've been hearing how the dual plugs run better and been thinking that rather than deal with all the trouble of modifying the heads..... Has anyone tried using the Breva 2 valve / Griso 2 valve - dual plug heads? Or are they that much different than the V11? in search of another rabbit hole to explore. Mark
68C Posted June 21, 2018 Posted June 21, 2018 This also starts you off on the search for a suitable fueling and ignition map. Have fun.
LowRyter Posted June 22, 2018 Posted June 22, 2018 I am surprised to hear that. when I saw this on WG I assumed you were talking about a California.
GuzziMoto Posted June 29, 2018 Posted June 29, 2018 My wifes V11 runs stronger than my Griso. But her V11 does have more work in it. As mentioned, to make a dual plug head work right would / should require different ignition timing as it will take less time to burn the air / fuel mixture and develop pressure pushing down on the piston. We used to run dual plug conversions on our Ducati racebikes. We would run much less advance compared to stock.
LowRyter Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 I think there might be another reason why a Griso 11 would run as good or better than a V11 Sport.
docc Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 I think there might be another reason why a Griso 11 would run as good or better than a V11 Sport. Oh?
LowRyter Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 I think there might be another reason why a Griso 11 would run as good or better than a V11 Sport. Oh? meaning, I don't know of a single reason.
LowRyter Posted July 8, 2018 Posted July 8, 2018 I don't know how a 1200 2V Norge compares to the Griso, but there is no way that the Norge I rode has anywhere near the power curve of my V11 Sport. That Norge was tuned like a Beemer, no excitement.
