Dave Swanson Posted June 25, 2018 Author Posted June 25, 2018 seen this? https://southjersey.craigslist.org/mcy/d/2004-moto-guzzi-v11-only-819/6625999760.html Wow, that's a nice one. Thanks!
PJPR01 Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 The red one in Jersey is phenomenal...starting out with a good specimen there...
Dave Swanson Posted June 25, 2018 Author Posted June 25, 2018 The Jersey bike is coming back to Illinois! 2
Chuck Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 The Jersey bike is coming back to Illinois! Good plan.. Congrats. I've said many times the cheapest bike you can buy is the most expensive. I assume we'll be seeing it at the Iowa and Wisconsin rallys? 1
r3datom9 Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 That one is a real winner, congrats! Damn near brand new 1
Dave Swanson Posted June 25, 2018 Author Posted June 25, 2018 Now I have to decide if I am going out to pick it up or arrange for a bike hauler.
Chuck Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 I've gone farther.. A bike hauler is cheaper, though.. 1
Scud Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 HaulBikes worked well for me once. But a cheap one-way flight and a meandering path back home make more memories - and could be faster. From New Jersey to Illinois you could even ride over a few small, but beautiful, mountains. Can you think of a better way to spend the upcoming Independence Day? Break out the maps and start planning your ride. 1
Chuck Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 Break out the maps and start planning your ride. It would be an adventure for sure.. and just how many adventures are available in this modern world? What could possibly go wrong? Meh.. go for it. I would. 1
footgoose Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 if you ride it back pack some relays for the trip. If the owner hasn't done it already, you'll want a new batch of Omrons anyway.
Scud Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 This thread proves how obsessive some people are about looking at used motorcycle ads on the Internet. And how useful that can be...
docc Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 if you ride it back pack some relays for the trip. If the owner hasn't done it already, you'll want a new batch of Omrons anyway. A great find! As romantic as a fly-and-ride seems . . . a fifteen-year-old V11 with under 900 miles? Whew. I would so totally have it delivered and go through it stem-to-stern . . . After all, there are not "all three fluids", but seven. Eight if you count both forks. Dang: nine with the rear shock. Then there is the battery thing . . . 2
