Aw! Pretty sure I’ll have to earn it back. SSR is 700-800 miles round trip, so that will tell the tale. I’d like to get about a thousand miles on this rear drive and new bearings before then. Also due for Tank Off Maintenance. Not sure if I’ll tackle the throttle body/ injector swap as well. . .

I have the answer to your need-miles conundrum.

Our "B&B” has a room (with path to bath ) available.

I'll even meet you halfway to escort you on some stupendous W.V. and Va. back roads. :race:

@Andy - Can the throttle bodies be swapped without crabbing the frame slightly? (That's way we did it when these were changed under warranty at the dealer.)

i did not even attempt it. I just took a throttle body off one side then slide the other out w/ the upper and lower

mountings still on. 2 hex head upper and 2 hex lower. Probably easier to pull the left side off. right side has the

fast idle contraption on the bottom mount. I took it off of mine but some might prefer to keep it.

As far as mounting Breva TB's......don't know. My first concern would be the spigot size that mounts to the head.

many other concerns after that... not even considering what flow and mapping problems it might bring

I was trying to decide on a proper homage to the Inaugural South'n Spine Raid, 2004, "held" at the Athens Super8, just off I-75. I thought I might head up there Friday night, late, and take a leak in the parking lot. B)

Not that any of us-four Inaugurals did, but it seemed to be part of theme "up'n 'em parts" . . .

We've come a long way, baby!  :mg:

Four weeks out . . . I hear wrenches spinning, tires being mounted, and throttle bodies being synched  . . .

Let the hills ring with V11 music! :race::mg::drink:

Well, in our case, it'll probably a V12 singing arias. :mg:

Think all my Guzzis except my new V7 Special have been to SSR's.  And, if I can't get my Norge's panniers back from the paint shop in time, that one will make its intro, too.  :bike:.

Texted docc earlier this evening that I'm in again this year.  Might as well move up there, made 3 bike trips to Tellico area and North Carolina best scenic twisty roads since mid July this year.

For those of you on the bubble as to come to Tellico Plains this year....

You can pose your machine in front of this gorgeous waterfall nearby.

Sooooo, both the Daytona and the Sport 1100 are down so it looks like I'll be bringing my 900SS this year in lieu of a Spine.

That said, two new Raiders will be accompanying me this year, Adam on his V11 Rosso Mandello and Scott on his café-esque California Stone.

Bald River Falls really is a fabulous spot to get a sweet photo of your ride. (Thanks sctt2525 !!  )

And a popular local place, as well.  I swear I tried to get my Sport in the picture . . . .
