chrisfer81 Posted February 20, 2004 Posted February 20, 2004 Hello, I have a V11 Lemans 2002 (with crossover pipe betweenheadpipes under alternator) completly stock. The ECU is an IAW15M and I want know if I can put a PCIII, and which. On the site http://www.powercommander.com/buynowbike.shtml they just specify for the model 2000 and 2001 (706-411). Thanks.
Murray Posted February 20, 2004 Posted February 20, 2004 You can The WM15 is used across a range of machines so the setup from a simarly equiped Ducat will work no problems the question is do you want to? There are a few alternatives around for similar money and do a better job.
chrisfer81 Posted February 21, 2004 Author Posted February 21, 2004 I just want modify the mixture because my bike pinging at 4000rpm full load (too lean ?). That's all. In my region (France) there is no dyno, dealer of PCIII. Any solution to correct pinging interest me, Thanks.
al_roethlisberger Posted February 22, 2004 Posted February 22, 2004 Chris, Contact Todd Eagan at www.guzzitech.com Todd is more-or-less Moto Guzzi's unofficial emissary to DynoTech, and is usually the only one that has the Guzzi specific PCIIIusb in stock, although other vendors will list them. Todd works very closely with the DynoTech staff to develop new PCIII applications for the Guzzi models, and is the best source for the hardware, and appropriate maps. Also, Todd has an extensive archive of custom maps, and is very experienced with tweaking maps for one's own modifications. He can usually tweak a map very close to ideal, and send it preloaded on your PCIII... only of course being beaten by a custom map generated at a certified Dyno Tuning Center. al
antonio carroccio Posted February 24, 2004 Posted February 24, 2004 For a better mapping, you can try HTMoto nearby Aachen-Germany. This guy is really good with mapping a original ECU Marelli. I think the price is about 300,- Euro. He has a testbank and your bike can be putted on it and you immediately can see the result of his work. Look at www.htmoto.de ciao
