ITI gauge Trip knob screw size

Hi all,

Seen a bit on the forum about the knobs breaking etc and some solutions. With mine the screw has disappeared. Knob is in good condition and the brass piece inside is all intact. Just need a screw but do not know the size of the thread or length.

I know you can buy the knob complete from MG cycle but the freight content would be equal to 1000 screws!  Doe anyone know the screw thread detail?

Not sure of the pitch of the thread, but I seem to remember they were left hand thread.  Which way do you rotate it to reset the odometer?

If the trip set knob sticks out of the left side, it's left hand thread. Right side, right hand thread.
