Rosso Mandello Paintwork

Has anyone else had problems with the paint on their grey tail unit on their Rosso Mandello?

Mine goes from grey to a dull white colour.

I've used Meguiars Liquid Wax which brings colour back to normal (photo attached)

On attached photo I've waxed the top but not bottom to show difference.

With panniers frames and a carrier to do a good job you need to remove them both so its not a 5 minute job.

Any ideas whats causing the discolouring and  of a way to avoid having to use the wax?

any thought about protective clear coat whether paint or wrap?

I got my Ducati cleared with vinyl wrap due to big belly belt buckle on the fuel tank syndrome.

Yes I was thinking satin clear coat paint to.

Will talk to a mate who is a panel beater/car painter see what he thinks
