docc Posted November 20, 2019 Posted November 20, 2019 Just groom the exhaust as described. Your right canister is twisted outward, clockwise (looking from the rear). A cozy grooming session, as Tomchri describes, will give some joy, mehopes . . . I use gentle mallets to bump things around while tightening fasteners step-wise in a "star pattern" while grooming the exhaust and hangers front->back (hammer content!) 1
po18guy Posted November 20, 2019 Posted November 20, 2019 I think this is why high-mount cans are a good thing. They rise above all the action - suspension action, that is.
paulnaz Posted November 21, 2019 Posted November 21, 2019 Hi Kane, Two things come to mind after looking at mine (2000 Sport) , the upper two tabs on the frame rail seem to be bent outward on yours. Also the bend of the cast bracket at the bottom appears to be only10 or 15 degrees and on mine it's nearly 35 or 40. The bolt heads at the muffler are approx 1/8" away from the swingarm cover. Hope this helps. Paul B
