Have been posting on the other forums and thought I might check in with you folks as well.

Considering a Centauro sport.

Would be looking for one as usual low mileage ,excellent condition unmolested.

If any one of you might know of such a creature would be good to hear from you.

PM or other.

Seriously no one...

They only made 410 units out of a total Centauro production run of 1918 world wide so dont expect to be overwhelmed by responses. So now imagine how many of the 410 made it to the USA/Canada.If you do happen to find one just make sure its a really low mileage unit as the high wear engine parts are getting all but impossible to find and if you can get them they are stupid expensive. Of course if you're engineeringly inclined you can do just about anything but even the std stuff like main bearings etc are getting dear.

OK, so how about a V11 engine retrofit? Sounds easy! :not:

Can't say I've ever seen a Centauro, and I live in a reasonably Guzzi-rich part of the US.

Probably easier than the high cam engine into the V11. Wouldn't look as good though. How about a grisso 8 valver in a Centauro. That might work although the alternator might be an issue.

In regards to total volume available of that model wasn't sure. Thx for that.

That being said how about any of the Centauro models then....

Would like to speak with anyone who might have a nice one or know of the where abouts of such a thing.  :food:

Thx in advance.

This was on ebay a while back. Obviously it's sold and I don't think it's a sport but it gives you a data point. They are out there you just need to be a bit patient. There is one for sale in aus asking $12k or about $8kUS. Way overpriced.

You're right, it's not a sport. Welcome to the best place in the world for V11sports, btw..:mg:

Did you check Brad's Centauro w/8k miles on MGNOC classifieds.  Last I saw it was very nice looking bike asking $3500

This one's been listed in Florida, a little over two weeks ago, 18k miles, looks really clean.

Moto Guzzi Centauro 1998 - $5500 (Bradenton).

Not sure what makes it a "sport"

Forgot to mention that it's listed on "Craig list", which all you Guzzi hunters probably already figured out.
