po18guy Posted April 3, 2020 Posted April 3, 2020 For classic sport bikes and sport-touring bikes, Bridgestone has long offered the BT45 Battlax, a tire (tyre) which has always been highly rated. However, after almost two decades, Bridgestone has updated the tire with a new compound and slightly modified tread pattern. Rain performance is said to be substantially improved, while dry traction remains the same. Fairly obviously, the new offering is called the BT46. I see from their intro page that they do have excellent taste in classic sport bikes. 2 1
Gio Posted April 4, 2020 Posted April 4, 2020 Interesting - the BT45 is a popular choice for the old K75 ... although I prefer Pirelli (Sport Demons). Avon also just announced a Mk2 version of their AM-26 also. Thanks for this - and yes, excellent taste in classic bikes.
stewgnu Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 Does anyone fit the battlax’s on their v11? I used to use them on my old w650 and they were great.
docc Posted April 5, 2020 Posted April 5, 2020 I recently fitted my first non-Pirelli to that Sport (rear): Battlax Sport Touring T31R. So far, so good. I've long been fond saying, "If I don't like it, it'll be gone soon anyway." Very interesting the classic style of the BT46 . . . 1
