Kane Posted May 29, 2020 Posted May 29, 2020 Ok, this is a dumb-ass lame question: what wrench should I buy to adjust the spring load on my rear shock (the kind with the white spring)? Will any generic shock adjuster spanner wrench do, or is there a particular type that works best considering the nut size and space restrictions? I’ll try the Ohlins wrench. Thanks!
GuzziMoto Posted June 1, 2020 Posted June 1, 2020 Different brand shocks have different adjuster wrench needs. Do you have the Ohlins shocks? If so, I would use the Ohlins shock wrench.
docc Posted June 1, 2020 Posted June 1, 2020 I got a couple generic ones from MotionPro that work okay. The issue is access around the airbox and that setting the preload without the tank and airbox is far from ideal. On the original Sachs, I recall using a drift to release the lock ring and rotate the adjuster. Also less than ideal, but got it accomplished albeit with some hairy knuckle dragging . . . 1
