Believe it or not I've had a few free and frank discussions with Boeing engineers about their design decisions over the years, and a few OEMs as well:) Ciao

It is fairly clear to me that, at that altitude, the oxygen level must be rather low. 1

Biggest issue is some tend to suffer from the "wasn't thought of by us so I'm not going to take it seriously" mentality. Airbus wasn't much better but you had the :"French factor" to deal with as well. Ciao 1

noel_lemansII Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 Hi, Talking of oil filters, anyone know the AF distance of the allen recess to the oil filter cover on a V11 Scura? I don't fancy spending US$100 for a special tool Thanks, Noel [UK based]
pete roper Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 27mm. Or you can just drop the sump off. 1
gstallons Posted February 8, 2021 Posted February 8, 2021 As I posted in another forum here , I went to NAPA and got a castle nut 27mm/ 1 1/16" and welded a 3/8" extension to the nut . For a couple of dollars , it does the job .
docc Posted February 8, 2021 Posted February 8, 2021 Also worth noting that we can pull a 27mm axle nut and use that the work the filter cover. 1
