Bob LeClair Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 2002 V11 lemans, vin # ZGUKRAKR32Mxxxxxx. ZGU is Italy Guzzi, KRAKR is the mystery. Does it refer to engine family and transmission, body type, or other meaning? 3 is the check digit, 2 is the year, and M is the place of assembly. Trying to figure out what I've got here.
gstallons Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 The 10th digit is the year of production . The first character is the country of origin . Z is Italy .
docc Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 Early forum member jrt, in his 2005 thread, Breakdown of Model Year Changes in "Frequently Asked Questions" attributes this statement to the late Todd Haven of MPH Cycles: KRAKR designates 1100 spine frame 2000-2002(sport and Lemans) Realize, of course, that the 1999-2001 Sport RedFrame and Rosso Mandello BlackFrame are ShortFrames and differ from the 2nd generation V11 LongFrame introduced with the 2002 LeMans (both the red/grey and champagne) as well as the 2002 Scura and Tenni. What color is your 2002 LeMans @Bob LeClair ?
fotoguzzi Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 What you've got? Maybe the finest Moto Guzzi design ever. 2
