SkidMarks Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 Top triple tree bracket drilled for bar risers. To fit 2003 V11LeMans 720 244 1915 Colorado USA
footgoose Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 I think the "boss" or reinforcement is on all of them. So they can be drilled and safely used. (at least the later ones) I will check. I'm sure the '03 has them. 2
68C Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 I bought a used triple clamp and drilled it, as you say there is a raised boss on the undersurface obviously there for that purpose. Sadly not wide enough to allow fitting of rubber bushes. I used an old set of clamps from a Honda CB00, remember them? 1
footgoose Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 So, what I'm calling a boss on the underside of the top clamp is I believe a reinforced area for drilling for handle bar risers. They are on the early bikes as well but that area is drilled and tapped for a 'swivel lock' for the early bike's fork mounted risers. So, any top clamp will do if you're of a mind to have it drilled.
paulnaz Posted March 15, 2021 Posted March 15, 2021 My 2000 03 Sport was already converted by the original owner. He used Part# 01493180 Cadre shows it to be $257. I believe it's from a California Stone. Paul B
