Oilleak gearbox

Hallo I have had oilleak from my gearbox for 2 years .I have done service 3 times for that hopefully It has stopped now,to much snow yet to control it. Anyone else with same problems? I have V 11 Sport 2000.Stefan

Hi Stefan, my gearbox did have a slight oil weep from new - but cured itself after several months. Clever things these Guzzis - my V11 must have a 'self-fix' capability

There are a number of threads on gearbox leaks especially on the early bikes. There are several places they are prone to leak. What have you tried to fix so far?

Yep,

 

Had a trans leak for over two years and the shop has tried to repair them 3 times and I still have a leak.

 

I will give them another shot at it when the recall is done. I hope my extended warrantee will cover the cost.

When your wrench has the box out, be sure to show him the the suspect area for case crack at the top rear corner, left. It took my shop three tries to finally find it.
