al_roethlisberger Posted March 22, 2004 Posted March 22, 2004 Good advice J, ...but to add, once you do get past those first few tries, it's actually pretty hard(or just unlucky) to miss the bolts and knick up the sideplates. As of late, the only time I've "missed" was when I was not taking my time to do it right <_> If paranoid, one could always put masking tape around the area before fitting the stand, and lifting. That would be quick and cheap insurance if concerned. al
big unit Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 The Moto Guzzi stand and the aftermarket ones like it, do they damage the hexagonal nuts on the outside of the pork chops. Also does the front stand sit where there is a circle shape on the sump bottom. cheers
