My CO is set at 18

Should i set it to zero?

 

Does the bike need to be running for the adjustment to take?

Using Guzzidiag, enginee shoud have 60c + , and 0 is correct.

There is no "correct" unless you are tuning for emissions and then there's a "range". There are settings that would make you look at the possibility that there was other issues worth checking.

If it's running well at +18 and is not using too much fuel, warms up nicely and responds well to the throttle then I see no reason the change it.

Of course, the Mighty Scura isn't stock.. but when I first checked it, it was at +40. (!) Set it at 0 and rode it for a bit. There was a some lean stumble. Set it at +20. Had a hiccup at low rpm. Back to +40. Plugs look good, mileage is around 40 mpg. Whether or not the Power Commander affects this.. IDK, but it runs beautifully.
