Started with a '97 and shed 116lb. There's still some life left in the old spine frames. Looks great too.

I think I would've been content at 110 lbs lighter with 4" higher bars, and extra seat foam, but It sure looks the biz.

I can't help but wonder how much lighter his wallet was

I really like what he did and his eye for details, but it looks like he had a bottomless wallet. What I really don't like is the closed swingarm. It's too bulky for my taste. And the red line on the fairing does not line up with the red line on the tank/seat piece.
But overall: hats off!

I would just love the subframe , seat, and tank and just make a cool naked..  Nice bits!
