LowRyter Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 I like to dress up the bike, engine and hoses with Silicone spray. It gives a nice shine to everything and protects from water, good on rubber and plastic. But I ran into a problem the WD 40 Silicone Specialist Lubricant. I'm sure it lubricates but it leaves a flat milky finish. Not good to dress up your engine, car or bike. I recommend Ace Hardware Silicone Lubricant. It leaves a nice shine. I think the key was written in the instructions: recommended for slippery car bumpers. FYI 1
Cabernet Posted February 12, 2022 Posted February 12, 2022 When you started on dressing rubber, I thought, "No not the tyres!" 1 1
KINDOY2 Posted February 12, 2022 Posted February 12, 2022 Agreed..the WD40 Silicone spray lubricant is not good for anything I have wanted it for...was disappointed in the purchase. 1 1
Pressureangle Posted February 14, 2022 Posted February 14, 2022 Here in Florida where the morning dew is salty, I use silicone spray on the bare aluminum to eliminate white dusty corrosion and protect it. 2
Chris Wilson Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 Torco Moto Prep silicon spray works well for me. Chris.
audiomick Posted August 18 Posted August 18 I like Armorall. https://www.armorall.com/home Be aware, though, that if you use it on the seat, you will be able to move around on the seat very, very well. Slippery... 1

I know some hardcore gun handlers and they said if you hate your guns , use WD-40 on them . 1 1
