You’ll find drawings and an explanation to how it works – it’s actually quite brilliant made, but there’s probably a reason why it never was used widely.

Who knows, it may have worked fine... after some "fine tuning"

 

After all, mechanical fuel injection showed up in mass produced autos in the 1950s, and had been used throughout WWII.
