Guest jerroldt Posted April 8, 2004 Posted April 8, 2004 As usaual I tend to go overboard when going into anything new. I have a Stucci rack, a Tankslapper kit, Techno bags (from a forumite in an adjacent state) and a custom Stucchi rack bag on the way from another forumite which I will report on when it arrives. Anyway, I haven't had time to mount any of this stuff, I just want to ride the Le Mans every chance that I get, weather permitting. It is a rush ( My girl friend is clammering to ride the thing but the weekend weather has been awful)! After 14 years riding an Electroglde, it is like being set free! I was, however concerned about water in the transmission due to poor inner fender protection. As a quick fix (and maybe permenant) I used a cap-plug and a small nylon hose. I drilled a hole in the cap-plug smaller than the hole for the hose and then forced the hose into it and then forced the cap-plug over the flats of the vent fitting. I use cap-plugs for lots of stuff as can be seen by the one covering the seat key-release in one of the photos, they keep water out. Just my 2 cents worth.
Guest jerroldt Posted April 8, 2004 Posted April 8, 2004 The hose is really small, but how much pressure needs to be relieved? I think that it is mostly an equalizing vent.
Guest northend Posted April 9, 2004 Posted April 9, 2004 Very nice!! And I like the red one better than the blue one
