hgravelpha@aol.com Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 This is my discussion with Docc: Thang, Any news on the springs? docc Docc, I had a second suppplier looked at them but our volume was too low. I was quoted a $68 set up fee and $9 per spring if we had a minimum made of 100 each. This price was only for the paw spring. This quote was much higher than expected. I did not proceed any further because I didn't think that 100 people would be interested in this purchase. Tell me what you think. Thang Can we get 100 buyers? or Should we just get them from Oklahoma? What is less expensive?
Baldini Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 My box is in bits at the moment for second broken spring. I'm trying to find out why they break. I don't think it was simply a bad batch of springs. There was some talk of a modified ratchet arm. Guzzi know there's a problem, they're just keeping their heads down. What I can't understand is how some bikes break, others don't - could be related to usage and/or parts. However if the spring is a better spring than Guzzi's, I'd have a couple. Thanks for your continuing efforts. Cheers, KB
jrt Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 Why don't you set up a poll? It sounds like the price would be about 12.20 delivered (9.00+0.68+2.50 (parcel post shipping)). J
Guest dkgross Posted April 14, 2004 Posted April 14, 2004 I'll gladly take two of them, just for safety
