Baldini Posted May 5, 2004 Posted May 5, 2004 Has anyone any knowledge of stiffening up the frame/swinging arm on the spineframe bikes? (Additional to what Guzzi did from 02 on). Thanks, KB
Paul Minnaert Posted May 5, 2004 Posted May 5, 2004 What is the problem? I suppose you have a problem you want to solve?

Baldini Posted May 5, 2004 Author Posted May 5, 2004 Re: problems/Paul M Paul,I come off a long time on Tontis & to me the spine frame simply doesn't feel as solid. Bike is generally OK ridden smoothly on flat roads, but I struggle if I push it on twisty, undulating stuff. I can get the suspension adjusted better & it could be lightened, but I was just wondering if in the long term it would be worth thinking of stiffening up the frame. I wondered if anyone had any views on/experience of this. Thanks,KB
Guest PAULSMART Posted May 5, 2004 Posted May 5, 2004 Ah!!! that was a repeat of the first. Here's something else for all you chat room posters - so be careful if you are going to a v11 meeting, all may not be as it seems - you have been warned! Paul
Baldini Posted May 5, 2004 Author Posted May 5, 2004 Paul Smart, thanks for pix. interesting - braces where Guzzi added tubes on 02 bikes. I'll look up the site. I would love to know how Ashley Law (?name) got on racing an almost stock Tenni on the IOM ....There's a bloke planning to race a Sport there in the Manx this year KB
Baldini Posted May 5, 2004 Author Posted May 5, 2004 l if you are going to a v11 meeting, all may not be as it seems - you have been warned! Is there something you're not telling us....?
watanabetakemasa Posted May 5, 2004 Posted May 5, 2004 post from japan. in japan some Guzzi shop developped frame strengthen kits. some needs to be welded, others just bolt-on props. http://homepage3.nifty.com/vitalspirit/sei...parts/kiji.html http://www.guzzisport.com/html/V11.html
Baldini Posted May 5, 2004 Author Posted May 5, 2004 watanabetakemasa, thanks for pix. Those bits are pretty much what Guzzi added to the 02 bikes, which I've got. The bike in pix is pre 02. Will check out site later, no time just now. By the way, welcome to the site! KB
