Guest bshpilot Posted May 10, 2004 Posted May 10, 2004 sure....I won't be able to get to it until I get home tonight tho..I think I have some string.... thanks. ill probably run two sep. brake lines (as ive done on my other bikes)...id be interested in knowing how they did your bike...since i only see one line @ brake master cyl.
Guest dkgross Posted May 10, 2004 Posted May 10, 2004 yup... one line...has a cool little 'y' joint by the fender. Photos to come
twhitaker Posted May 10, 2004 Posted May 10, 2004 Ian Johnson has a very good article about his Two Brothers bars on his web site. You can find him on the last page in the How To section. A picture shows a very clever way of locating the tee for the front brake line.
Guest dkgross Posted May 10, 2004 Posted May 10, 2004 Ian Johnson has a very good article about his Two Brothers bars on his web site. same folks that did Ian's bike did mine.
Guest dkgross Posted May 11, 2004 Posted May 11, 2004 ok...very hard to measure accurately..but...it seems like the line from the brake to the 'y' is 18 inces, and each 'y' is 9 inches. I wish the brake line was a few inches longer and less 'taut' than it is, and I wish the clutch line was 3-4 inches longer so I could re-route it.
Guest dkgross Posted May 11, 2004 Posted May 11, 2004 and (sorry,.the bike is dirty..got caught in the rain today)
Guest bshpilot Posted May 11, 2004 Posted May 11, 2004 ok pictures were very helpful...thanks... i wont how ever do it this way...those T fittings create a SPONGE-IE-NESS for the fluid/feel....i suspect i can make two sep. lines cheaper than 3 lines (and all the fittings)... and i dont risk loosing brake leaver/feel. again thanks very much for the details & info
Paul Minnaert Posted May 11, 2004 Posted May 11, 2004 Dave nice pictures, today I got mine, these are aso in a high version available
al_roethlisberger Posted May 11, 2004 Posted May 11, 2004 Nice bars Who makes them Paul? How much? And why did you choose these over others? .... or were these the same ones Mike Stewart posted? al
Paul Minnaert Posted May 11, 2004 Posted May 11, 2004 they are from http://www.mr-motorradtechnik.de/ I posted them before. Cost was 171 euro excluding tax and shipping. They are very nice finished. The guy is going to make shift and brake levers for me too, I got the rests allready, as you can see in the picture.
Guest Le Man Posted May 12, 2004 Posted May 12, 2004 What riser height did you get? I have an '03 Le Mans and like the look of those very much. Mike
