TX REDNECK (R.I.P.) Posted May 19, 2004 Posted May 19, 2004 Why ? I bet Cap'n Enzmo has a line on those
rossoct Posted May 19, 2004 Posted May 19, 2004 Try Harper's Moto Guzzi or Joe Kenny, you can get Joe's website through guzzitech.com. One of these should fit the bill. Good Luck!
jrt Posted May 19, 2004 Posted May 19, 2004 Those are from the SoCal guzzi pictorial fellows, so ask Todd Eagan. He pops in on this board occasionally, and I think you can find him at www.guzzitech.com. They may be from J. Kenny, or elsewhere, and just anodized. J
dbdicker Posted May 19, 2004 Posted May 19, 2004 just needed to order that, for my mini crash.......called a head guard, available in all colors.........$35 from Harper's, not in stock. Probably a 10 day lag from order to delivery. Dan
badmotogoozer Posted May 19, 2004 Posted May 19, 2004 Now that we know the stock head guards do not guard the heads... which ones do? I have seen several replacement guards but it is hard to tell from the pics which ones will be beneficial in a crash (or drop). Many seem to be much more aesthetically pleasing, but which ones work? Any knowledge/experience? Rj
docc Posted May 20, 2004 Posted May 20, 2004 Last September my V11 Sport fell from full lean and slid 8 to 10 meters on the right exhaust and stock headguard. It ripped the sparkplug boot and bent the tip of the plug just a bit. Rode it home. The Joe Kenney guards I have now are just a few millimeters bigger so I would hope they might save the plug boot. (I don't wanna know.) Some of Joe's guards are bigger but I'm a slave to vanity.
