My Two Bros' bar riser clamp is cracking

Here's a top view of the clamp mounted on the triple clamp. As I said above, I used a stock MG piece, but I don't think I would if I were to do it again. There's nothing to be gained by having this big flat plate.

I don't know JRT. The plate gives it a very clean and polished look. If you ask me, MG should have taken the same approach when they first came out with their raised bar v11's (Ballabio, etc.).
